That was in the book "Psychic Warrior" by David Morehouse. I remember reading that as a kid. I've been trying to find the section that you mention on the net for a while, with no luck.

> David Morehouse-A highly decorated, exemplary Army officer, special operations infantryman, and elite Airborne Ranger Company Commander. Wounded by machine-gun fire during a training mission, Morehouse began to have inexplicable visions and haunting nighmares-an experience that would redirect his military career and land him in the government's top-secret Stargate Program.

This probably will not be a very accepted idea because 1) it requires people to be cognizant of the "soul" or "spirit" or other spiritual aspects of the human being. So, all atheists are out the window and 2) People will think that this is just lucid dreaming because that's what's been used to explain away astral projection.

However, I will posit your theory.

Astral projection to a different time MIGHT be possible. I've never done that before to my knowledge. However, I did read in Psychic Warrior that the main character had multiple bilocational remote viewing sessions that involved time travel.

The question now becomes is the information read-only or can it actually be affected?

If this were the case, then these time traveling astral projectors are employing one more technique - telepathic suggestion. This would be the only way because you really cannot affect the physical in an astral projected state, but you can influence the minds of the physical entities you encounter, which would carry over to them believing they thought of it.

And this is actually somewhat of a credible theory for me personally because most of these mandela effects are rooted in some detail that could easily have been changed in a design meeting.

The problem with this idea though is that it really cannot account for purely physical changes like geography. Personally, I have no mandela effect experience with this, so I'm not exactly sure what's going on there.

To wrap this up, due to the rise in occult understanding and practical witchcraft these days, your theory does have some merit, but I remain unconvinced that it explains the entire phenomenon outright. There are multiple facets to this thing, and I think it goes a little deeper than just kids playing with guns.
