New Purchase/Gift: Just got a Pure Body Naturals Dead Sea Mud Mask. I patch tested it and I was fine so I used it the next day. It made my skin feel really smooth after I removed it but I didn't really notice anything else. I'll probably alternate weeks I use it with my Queen Helene Mint Julep Mask.

Ah, if you're on medication right now, you might want to wait for that to take it's course first. I would still recommend CeraVe if your dermatologist ok's it for you, and definitely after you're done with with the cylopel.

This is the face cleanser it's more water based than others so it's gentler on the skin, use a hot moist towel to open your pores, or use it in during a hot shower, massage into your skin and let it sit for a minute before washing it off.

I also recommend this mud mask for spot treatment or an all over mask if need be

I'm not sure what products you've tried, but I use this dead sea mud mask (purchased on Amazon) and it is soooooooo amazing at removing blackheads, esp the ones on my nose! I've used the pore strips and other products and nothing came anywhere close to how well this stuff works!

I'm a huge fan of the Dead Sea Mud mask. It's great for combo/oily skin. As for lips, Laneige came out with this cool sleeping lip mask.

I'm a gender-queer guy and I've been trying to make my overall appearance more feminine for the past several months. In general, I'm aiming more for androgynous than blatantly feminine (think women's sneakers and jeans more than heels and dresses), and along those same lines, I'm not really interested in makeup (I don't think) but would like to find a skincare routine that makes my face look as feminine and femininely-pretty as possible.

I have normal skin, maybe slightly oily but I almost never get zits anymore (I'm 31),

My routine right now:

  • Aveeno Positively Radiant cleanser and face scrub, every morning and night
  • this retinol moisturizer and this eye cream, every morning and night
  • this mud mask I use once a week or so
  • an assortment of these sheet masks, I use one of them most nights before bed (this doubles as a relaxation thing...)

Overall, I've surprisingly been pretty happy with this routine so far, but this has been one of those processes where the more I've learned the more I've realized I don't know, which is what brought me here.

I (thankfully) don't have any notable problems I need to address (dryness, oiliness, etc), but I feel like my skin is a little dull and I want to make it more glowy/luminous/radiant, and basically make it "pop" and say "feminine" a little louder.

What additions or changes to my routine might take me the farthest in that direction? In particular, I'm almost out of moisturizer and want to try a different one (the one I have makes my face a tad oily), and I think I want to add a serum and/or night creme - but I'll be (very, very) receptive to whatever suggestions SCA might have for me.

Located in California. Oily skin, acne issues. I posted my routine on this sub earlier and received a few comments that my routine seems fine, but I'm still getting pesky whiteheads and some cystic acne (I think). Definitely scarring up my chin too. I've been lurking SCA for the past couple months but I still have a lot to learn. I've heard many good things about Paula's Choice, and they're having a sale in the US online for 20% off. Does anyone have any recommendations? Or even for other products? I'm feeling a bit lost on what to do. Edit: I eat well, exercise, and drink a lot of water.

Morning:
Wash face with warm water
Wash with La Roche-Posay Effaclar Facial Cleanser for Oily Skin Purifying Foaming Gel Face Wash
Apply Stri-Dex Medicated Pads, Sensitive
Sometimes I apply Cetaphil Dermacontrol Moisturizer SPF 30 but sometimes I forget (I know I know)

Evening:
Same routine, except once my face is dry and right before bed, I will apply Claire-ity Skincare 25% Vitamin C Serum with Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin E to the areas on my face with acne scars. Mostly on my cheeks, a few on my forehead, and some on my chin.

Occasionally (weekly) before the evening routine, I'll use either of these masks. I like them both:
