I used Molivera Organics Bentonite Clay for Detoxifying and Rejuvenating Skin and Hair, 16 oz. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00UFDHT06/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_E6-VzbACTET8V. I really was not expecting these results, it's a dramatic improvement from what it was.

The Shea Moisture is mostly for shine. I really wish it was 2 separate products, I like the frizz/shine aspect of it but the stickiness of the hold can be tricky when I'm scrunching, sometimes it can get stuck to my fingers and pull apart the curls. That's why I'm looking for a new oil/serum I can put in to help with smoothing. It's great as an absolute finisher though! Or if if you can put some oil/serum on your hands before scrunching it in, that helps too.

Perfect 5.

I'm in the UK and according to currency convertor $5 currently works out as £3.73 lol

So got 2 items, one is £3.73 and one is £5.00. Just trying to be fair with the pricing lol

Closest I could get to £3.73

£5.00 item

Amazon should really have a search by price function.

Anyone have experience with this Dead Sea Mud Mask?

u/Zach_N · 2 pointsr/SkincareAddiction

Also, next product I want to add to my routine is a weekly mask. Preferably Charcoal? For extracting blackheads, reducing pores and help fight lines ageing.

Have seen this one which looks pretty good. Anyone heard of the brand?

Other suggestions of course are welcome.

I must add that I use blue light blocking glasses in the evening on the recommendation of my doctor and it really does work remarkably well. I put them on around 7:30PM and I'm out by 9PM.

There are a ton of them out there. Just make sure they have orange lenses. These are the ones I use with my glasses.

I have no experience with cleansing masks, but I found this on Amazon:

> LIST OF INGREDIENTS: Deionized Water, Kaolin Clay, Glycerin, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Cetearyl Alcohol, Ceteareth-20, C14 - C22 Alkane, Glyceryl Stearate, Peg-100 Stearate, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Stearic Acid, Cetyl Alcohol, Magnesium Aspartate, Zinc Gluconate, Copper Gluconate, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Extract, Tocopherol, Tetrasodium Edta, Phenoxyethanol, Hexylene Glycol, Caprylyl Glycol

Alternatively, you could also buy some kaolin clay and mix it with water and/or oil.

New Purchase/Gift: Just got a Pure Body Naturals Dead Sea Mud Mask. I patch tested it and I was fine so I used it the next day. It made my skin feel really smooth after I removed it but I didn't really notice anything else. I'll probably alternate weeks I use it with my Queen Helene Mint Julep Mask.

Ah, if you're on medication right now, you might want to wait for that to take it's course first. I would still recommend CeraVe if your dermatologist ok's it for you, and definitely after you're done with with the cylopel.

This is the face cleanser it's more water based than others so it's gentler on the skin, use a hot moist towel to open your pores, or use it in during a hot shower, massage into your skin and let it sit for a minute before washing it off.

I also recommend this mud mask for spot treatment or an all over mask if need be

I know this is an old post, but I wanted to share. I have hormonal acne and rosacea, and I have had some luck with sulfur based products. I tried prosacea (made my skin sticky) and acnomel (which has a serious tint in it) and then I found some by a company called grisi. I use it at night because sulfur has a smell (although this is the least offensive smelling of the creams I tried) and I can put it on thick and not worry about my skin looking white.

I've also got a siriusonic (gift for my bday) which has helped my skin look clearer and smoother. I use it with cetaphil liquid cleanser.

u/EgregiousWeasel · 2 pointsr/MakeupAddiction

The Olay product is a brush, but that's where the similarity ends. The Olay brush rotates, and the Clarisonic oscillates back and forth at a much higher frequency. I like both types of cleansing, but the results are certainly different. A low cost option for sonic cleansing is the Sirius sonic skin care system.

Located in CA, US. Oily skin, moderate acne issues. I've been lurking this sub for a few months and would love any tips on my routine. Sometimes I am not sure when to use each project / in what order! Any and all suggestions are welcome!

Morning:
Wash face with warm water
Wash with La Roche-Posay Effaclar Facial Cleanser for Oily Skin Purifying Foaming Gel Face Wash
Apply Stri-Dex Medicated Pads, Sensitive
Sometimes I apply Cetaphil Dermacontrol Moisturizer SPF 30 but sometimes I forget (I know I know)

Evening:
Same routine, except once my face is dry and right before bed, I will apply Claire-ity Skincare 25% Vitamin C Serum with Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin E to the areas on my face with acne scars. Mostly on my cheeks, a few on my forehead, and some on my chin.

Occasionally (weekly) before the evening routine, I'll use either of these masks. I like them both:

Pure Body Naturals Dead Sea Mud Mask

LUSH Mask of Magnaminty

A few notes:
I don't wear makeup and I will add extra sunscreen when I exercise, which is about 5 days a week. I mostly use something like this Neutrogena Clear Face Liquid Lotion Sunscreen For Acne-Prone Skin for my face.

I think the one I had bought a while ago does in the ingredient list . It's this one

u/dm44 · 1 pointr/SkincareAddiction

I'm a gender-queer guy and I've been trying to make my overall appearance more feminine for the past several months. In general, I'm aiming more for androgynous than blatantly feminine (think women's sneakers and jeans more than heels and dresses), and along those same lines, I'm not really interested in makeup (I don't think) but would like to find a skincare routine that makes my face look as feminine and femininely-pretty as possible.

I have normal skin, maybe slightly oily but I almost never get zits anymore (I'm 31),

My routine right now:

  • Aveeno Positively Radiant cleanser and face scrub, every morning and night
  • this retinol moisturizer and this eye cream, every morning and night
  • this mud mask I use once a week or so
  • an assortment of these sheet masks, I use one of them most nights before bed (this doubles as a relaxation thing...)

Overall, I've surprisingly been pretty happy with this routine so far, but this has been one of those processes where the more I've learned the more I've realized I don't know, which is what brought me here.

I (thankfully) don't have any notable problems I need to address (dryness, oiliness, etc), but I feel like my skin is a little dull and I want to make it more glowy/luminous/radiant, and basically make it "pop" and say "feminine" a little louder.

What additions or changes to my routine might take me the farthest in that direction? In particular, I'm almost out of moisturizer and want to try a different one (the one I have makes my face a tad oily), and I think I want to add a serum and/or night creme - but I'll be (very, very) receptive to whatever suggestions SCA might have for me.

I'm a huge fan of the Dead Sea Mud mask. It's great for combo/oily skin. As for lips, Laneige came out with this cool sleeping lip mask.

u/brijwij · 1 pointr/SkincareAddiction

I'm not sure what products you've tried, but I use this dead sea mud mask (purchased on Amazon) and it is soooooooo amazing at removing blackheads, esp the ones on my nose! I've used the pore strips and other products and nothing came anywhere close to how well this stuff works!

u/waukeegirl · 1 pointr/Wigs

I have trich and have worn full lace wigs for years. I can’t imagine wearing a full cap wig. I swim and workout in it, usually lasts for about 4 weeks.

You will need a few items from amazon.

  1. Scalp protector Walker Scalp Protector 1.4 oz Dab-on https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01773HGN6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_2kOQCb7NFCQ6E

  2. Super Tape SuperTape LOW PROFILE Shape LACE FRONT = 1 pack of 36 strips https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073N3NV97/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_2iOQCbFV4JQ0B

  3. Lace glue Ultrahold 3.4 oz Acrylic Glue https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0141MTLL6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_3hOQCb60SH4V7

You will need to put the take on the lace all around, followed by a thin layer of
    Glue.

Put some scalp protector on your scalp once that dries, attach the wig, that’s it. If you have questions and want more details, message me.

Yes, those are enlarged pores.

Unfortunately, once pores expand, there is nothing to get them to go back to their normal shape. However, you can minimize their appearance.

I am also a 21 year old male, I have oily skin, and my pores expanded so it can let all that sweat out.

I’ve been in the skin care scene for a while, tried many products, but one that worked for me is this one :

Dead Sea Mud Mask for Face & Body - 100% Natural Spa Quality - Best Pore Reducer & Minimizer to Help Treat Acne , Blackheads & Oily Skin – Tightens Skin for a Visibly Healthier Complexion – 8.8 OZ https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01NCM25K7/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_cIt3BbG8DAQY4

Hope this helps. Check out my page on Instagram @SkinnedCollective I can answer any of your questions if you message me there!

I tried to send you a detailed reply, and then my browser crashed, so I'll try to keep this one short and snappy:

  1. If you're on a budget, I recommend the Sirius Skinsonic, currently on sale for $29 on Amazon.
  2. I've had it for a year, it's pretty sweet, I was going to upgrade if liked but now I can't see how a rotating ring, rechargeable battery (only had to change the batteries once), and timer would be worth an extra $100 bucks for me.
  3. Replacement brushes are $7 vs. $25- long term money savings! Plus it initially comes with a sensitive brush and a regular brush so you can figure out what you want.
  4. There are more reviews on makeupalley, so don't just take it from me.
