If you're going to spend money on a KVM but don't want to worry about a local console, consider KVM over IP units - they're a much better investment, if you can make it. ) is my favorite in this area for cost and performance.
Of course, any KVM needs cables, and you'd want either the MCUTP20-USB (6') or MCUTP40-USB (13.5') for access if you want to use USB ports, and MCUTP20-PS2 or MCUTP40-PS2 if you want the same in PS/2 ports instead. If you add a regular D2CIM-DVUSB, it will give you the ability to mount ISO files remotely as if they were local. If you need DVI, HDMI, or DisplayPort, you would need to add one of the following part #s: D2CIM-DVUSB-DVI, D2CIM-DVUSB-HDMI, or D2CIM-DVUSB-DP.
Considering you might expand in the future, it's easy to do without needing to upgrade your KVM unit in the future if you go this route. Also, being able to get to your KVM from anywhere on the network, including over VPN, can be very helpful and worth the extra few dollars.
