Glad to hear you're enjoying an excellent game! Going Commando was one of the first video games I played when I got my first PS2 in 2004, and I'm still playing it! If you ever want to upgrade your Ratchet and Clank experience down the line, Insomniac released an HD Ratchet and Clank series for PS3 with the first three games. Most if not all the content is identical to the PS2 versions, except for the lack of a very helpful glitch in R&C1.
Look online for all the Skill Points or perhaps get an old Gameplay guide. Once you get all of the Skill Points, you'll be able to unlock a bunch of fun bonus content.
Don't be afraid to play through in Challenge Mode, either. Instead of grinding in one play through, it's easier to grind going through multiple plays so you can keep going through the storyline so the grinding process of buying weapons and mods doesn't get boring.
