As others have mentioned, first get another battery or two.

Second, if you still want to charge on the go, you'll probably want a portable AC power bank. I don't know about the Mavic in particular, but the Spark has an AC charging dock, and I was researching the same thing for similar reasons.

They run anywhere from about 20,000Mah to about 55,000Mah, and the prices are generally ~$150-$250, depending on the capacity, size (some are quite large, some are about the size of two large phone power banks), and the brand and design.

This one is one of the most portable and is recommended by WireCutter, but it costs a premium for that design.

This one loses 7,000Mah but it also loses $110 in price for that difference. It is a vertical, narrow design, sort of like the Mavic when folded for storage.

This one is very similar to the first one, at around the price of the second one, making it one of the better deals.

This one packs a massive 42,000Mah of power. This should be able to recharge several Mavic batteries several times over, plus a few other things.

Just get this and use your normal power adapter to stay secure \o/

EDIT: Yes I have it, and I'm taking it to every festival I go currently. It's amazing

I just found this with a quick search. Seems interesting...

I tried a lot of these. The only ones that worked were

  • the Razer Power Bank, and
  • anything that had an inverter and provided a wall power socket (e.g. this ), and I could just plug in the 45w charger.

Anything else and the charge light wouldn't come on.

Note that all the battery power banks can charge the X1C 5gen... if the laptop is off. But once you turn it on, it seems all that will make it happy is USB 3.1 PD with sufficient wattage.

So, yeah, right now I definitely recommend the Razer Power Bank for X1C 5gen users.

This. I think it's also important to consider the Power Bank and unofficial chargers, out of curiosity though, how is this charger?

As far as power banks go, I might just go for this one since I can also use it with my mobile computer, but it's expensive.

I wonder if Newegg has anything better.

This might be more in your range. I caught it for $180 on sale. Normal price is ~$220. It can run my laptop for a total of 20-25 hours. Granted, my laptop draws 9W from its internal battery under max load. I purchased it specifically for its low power consumption. If your laptop is running anything serious, you'd be looking at quite a bit less on-time.

When I first got it, I used it Saturday through Wednesday after work as my laptop's only power source until it died, running off my laptop's AC adapter. I'd probably get more out of it with a DC-DC car charger instead.

There's also this guy for $170, but it's half the capacity of the Suaoki.

You might also want to consider other things, like portable phone power banks. Ravpower's 34WH banks are $15 on sale and $20 full price. If you picked up 2-3 of those, a cheap usb powered tablet, and some usb string lights, you'd still come out under $150 if you picked up the tablet used from eBay.

And for $500, there's also the 400WH Anker PowerHouse.
