I started teaching myself to knit in November and I have been working on crochet for the last few months. I'm not very good, I haven't even tried a pattern yet. BUT if I could crochet, I would be working on this adorableness for our new niece (Dec 13). NOTE You'll need a free Ravelry.com account to see a lot of these patterns.

I want to make my husband one of these pillows.

I am currently working on knitting a baby blanket for my sister-in-law who is expecting. I am also starting hats this week that I will be donating (Hopefully no later than the last week of October). I may hand these out with a few dollars to people I meet on the street or if I run out of time to do that I will drop them by my local Mission/ Food bank. I don't know how many I'll be able to make but I want to make at least 12 (one per week roughly). I am hoping I can manage more. I am going to make adult hats. I have decided to use Red Heart Super Saver Yarn for three reasons: price, washing & I have some already. Here are a few additional colors I could use. White, Brown, Tan, Navy, or Black Add on item.

I am planning to use some of these free patterns for the hats. Fisher Cable Hat, Waffle House, Simple Sample Hat, Strib hat I want them to be different and a little bit interesting, but most importantly warm.
