They sound very similar. 12South mentions somewhere in their description that they patented the design and it's been frequently copied, so I wonder if Genki licensed the design. On the Compass, the "feet" that hold the iPad can't bend down beyond a certain angle, as it becomes a metal against metal situation. That said, the lowest possible angle is a little past 90 degrees, so it looks a little like a "sag". It's not going anywhere past that, though.
Another idea would be to see if it would work with the Hori stand. The Hori is a little more tailored to the Switch. It's lightweight (all plastic; feels flimsier, but it seems well built) and provides abundant clearance beneath. It has more angle adjustments, too. Thing is: I can't tell if the opening for the charging cable is big enough for the Genki. I have the short TUSITA one and it works fine, charging and connectivity.
