i think this is awesome. the endorphins rush from completely annihilating yourself with conditioning feels great and while i'm completely inexperienced with depression, it can't hurt!
don't worry about being out of shape. i wish i had a video of my first class to level set and be like "see? at least you won't be THIS bad".
i really like these gloves for beginners. not too expensive but they're outside of "cheapo" territory. seem to hold up well and i've been punched with them a bunch so can attest that they're adequate for sparring :)
