Rite in the rain's pen. Unbeatable. It always writes and doesn't bleed. I have one in my uniform shirt and one on my armor. It's expensive as hell but I look at it as incentive to keep track of it. I've only lost one in the last year and I haven't had to replace a cartridge. Also, it handles carbon copies really well.

Hey man. I know this four days old and I'm not sure if you already found a pen or not but here's my suggestion anyway.

The rite in the rain pen

I'm not sure if it's seems a bit pricy to you or not but the pen has a matte black metal housing. It's also got some weight to it so you really feel like it was worth the money when you're holding it. It's my daily pocket pen, I carry it everywhere I go.

Two potential pen fixes:

  1. Micron waterproof pens. They come in a wide range of tip sizes, and I use them for watercolor painting (I paint over the ink lines), and don't have any issue with smudging, so I imagine it can handle a little hand sweat.

  2. My salt marsh ecologist friends swear by the Rite in Rain pens for all-weather writing, and, again, if it can handle scientists in the rain...

(I spent entirely too long choosing which version of the Rite in Rain pen to share; this one looks the nicest for BuJo-ing)

    Happy pen search!

Two choices- quality flash light with belt pouch. If you have the funds, the Surefire Fury is an excellent light. If not, the $20 LED lights on Amazon will do just fine. Or an all weather pen/pad set, like Rite In The Rain or Fisher...

Pencils are by far the best method of marking this paper. A cheap ballpoint is probably the only thing I would leave in a cache as all the good pens are too expensive to leave.

This pen from RitR should be good but I have never personally tried it; Rite In The Rain Unisex Metal Clicker Pen, Black https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B000QBPZKS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_AI9tDbD8FY2WM

I have a few of those small ikea pencils in my small cache for cachers to use in a pinch.

This guy sounds about perfect.

I have had great luck with the Rite in the Rain clicker pen. It is pressurized and weatherproof like the fisher space pen, but it is a bit thinner, and not full length. (which I appreciate because I prefer to carry it in my back pocket)
