As far as I know, there isn't much better than Rock Band. You can use these to be able to play Pro Expert drums which adds specific "notes" for cymbals. It's also console only at the moment.
You can get RB4 cymbals on Amazon for $30. The Mad Catz ones work with the PDP kit.

If you're in Canada, looks like we're boned yet again as amazon.ca is no longer stocking the cymbals and resellers are ripping people off again. Maybe ebay is the next best bet.
Did PDP ever make cymbals? I saw they were going to but never saw anything to suggest they did :(
I ordered mine from Amazon.com (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016HQZDCA) since they were overpriced everywhere else.. though it's costing me as much for shipping/import fees as the $30. Worked out at about £53. Not too bad given that I got Rivals Band bundle for about £112 shipped from Amazon.de when I'd almost spent £140 on an ebay kit a few weeks earlier :-)
Sadly I gotta wait 2-3 weeks for them!
