Thanks for the info! I have some decent old computer speakers/sub that use a 3.5mm jack, which I’m sure isn’t optimal. I was thinking of picking up some headphones for monitoring, maybe something like these since I need to keep a budget in mind.

I think I’ve settled on the focusrite solo for my needs. Still a little confused with the programs/software. It sounds like I need a program to monitor everything (Logic Pro X, would GarageBand work?) and then also an effects program like Bias FX or JamUp to manipulate the sound. Am I on the right track there, or is that all sort of optional?

It seems like there are a lot of questions today but I'll give it a shot.

No idea. I know these are recommended as they are rebranded Superlux 669s.

Thought the Takstar Hi2050 were discontinued and now rebranded as the HyperX Cloud II?
I'd look into the Superlux669 in my research as they may be a better option for you than the SHP9500.

I've been really happy with my Samson SR850's, especially for an under-$40 pair. If you're really concerned about audio "leaking," you might want to go with the 950's instead (they're closed-back instead of the semi-open 850's).

I've got it narrowed down to three options. My budget is <100, I was considering the Samson SR850 or SR950 or the Beyerdynamic Custom Street headphones. My question is what benefits do the SR950 offer over the SR850? The 850s are only 30~ dollars and I need to know how much difference there would be in sound quality.

What is the meaningful difference between these?

Looking for a set of over the ear headphones to use at my work. I usually like listening to my music very loud so I am hoping for something that will be fairly sealed and bleed as little sound as possible as I have people sitting about 5-6ft away from me.

Here is a list of things I would like:

  • Over the Ear
  • As little as possible Audio Leak
  • Comfortable (can be worn 3-4 hours at a time)
  • Under $200

    Would be nice to haves:

  • Enhanced Bass
  • Bluetooth
  • If no Bluetooth Detachable/swappable cable
  • Noise Cancellation

Have been using fairly crappy headphones most of my life so it's time to switch it up. My Apologies if the formatting isn't per the sub rules.

My current headphones are The Samson SR950 and the goals is to replace them - https://www.amazon.com/Samson-SR950-Professional-Reference-Headphones/dp/B00CBPJLFW

    Thanks in Advance!
