I would imagine it's the same panel but I'm not sure about everything else or if it is even the same panel.

I just ordered a Samsung 144hz 1440p monitor. I can't recommend it yet because it didn't get here, but hardwareunboxed spoke well of it as a budget recommended monitor. It's within your budget and has a va panel, middle of the road between tn and ips panel, I think. It's curved though so there's also that to consider.

What I recommend not buying is the viotek around the same specs and price point. I had pixel lines that eventually faded and the screen flickered at the bottom of the screen over a short period of owning. I returned it and this Samsung is round 2 at this.

What I have found it is this is JG56 monitor which is the free sync version of JG50 monitor which doesn't have free sync.

It's named jg54 here which I have found in the manual in Samsung website

I just got Samsung 27 inch 1440p 144Hz curved monitor for about $300. I've done hours of research on finding a good monitor for my new high-end pc, and this was the monitor that I decided on. It just came out mid-2018, and it's hands down the best deal I could find for that spec. Similar monitors go for $500-600. Mine just got delivered yesterday and so far I'm loving it, super clear and the exterior design looks really pretty compared to other 'gaming' monitors! https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FBNNWVV/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

So I own the c24fg73 and was considering upgrade to the chg70. But I opted instead for this new budget oriented 1440p from Samsung I'll report back if it ends up being any good. It's being delivered today.

On the cheaper side for good colour is this VA panel monitor from Samsung.

Good entry level IPS monitor is probably something like this one or this one.

High end is more like this or this.

Any of those will probably do you fine.

If you don't care particularly about colour accuracy and want good response times, you can get this one.

This one. Samsung LC27JG50QQNZA Series Curved 27" Gaming Monitor Dark Blue Grey https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FBNNWVV/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_cYGSBbRHESN3V

Way cheaper than most of the 1440p 144hz monitors I’ve seen, and curved is a nice addition as well. It looks and works great!

Hi guys! I`m finally going to buy my first WQHD monitor but i`m really unfamiliar what comes to monitors.
I would like decent colors and high refreshrate(daily photoshop and gaming)
what do you think about this monitor : C27JG50
I dont care about freesync/g-sync. My budget is about 300-500 bucks
i`ve used AOC g2460P about 4 years and i finally realized that i have frame skipping :D

Get the cheapest 2080 you can find, honestly, Black, Windforce, just not a blower or FE.
Get this guy for your monitor, I guess.

u/SoggyWalnuts_ · 2 pointsr/buildmeapc

of course! I personally like a 27" monitor (anything bigger than that seems a little overkill for me personally, I don't know your tastes though) so I would maybe go for something like this

Are you doing any large workload tasks, maybe software/game design, video or music production/editing or something along those lines?

Just bought a curved Samsung 1440p 144 hz monitor for only $290. The only problem I have with it is that 2 (litterally only 2) pixels don't show up for all colors. I'll link it if you would like to check it out.

I have a 27” Samsung CJG5 that’s curved, 1440p, 144hz. They’re used for my productivity monitors but I really like them. Colors are nice too.

If you dont need Freesync, i just got [samsung 27in 1440p 144hz curved VA] (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FBNNWVV/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and i love it, only 30 bucks more not on sale.

Maybe some more informed people dont like this monitor but i have had no issues.

I got the 32 inch and I mostly love it. Only issue is that there's a bit more ghosting than I would like but otherwise fantastic.

There's a newer Freesync version for a bit more since it seem that particular model is discontinued.

I don't have the best knowledge on what monitors are good, but I'll do my best.

The one you put checks off all your boxes, but I've never heard of CUK before. There also aren't any reviews on it. You might want to go for a popular brand.

Samsung 27" 1440p 144hz for $310

Opinions?

u/Deltasidearm · 1 pointr/buildapc

This monitor is probably the best value I've seen at $310 USD. It's 27", 1440p, 144 Hz, 4 ms response time, VA panel, 1800R curve. I assumed you were looking for a 1440p monitor because you are getting a 1080Ti. If you want a 1080p monitor, then you can find those much cheaper (~$200 USD, like this one).

Keep an eye on r/buildapcsales for good deals.

u/courtykat · 1 pointr/buildapc

If you’re interested in curved monitors, this is the one I’m getting for myself. 2k 144hz screen, 27” curved monitor, 4ms response time, and it’s only $330. The base isn’t adjustable, but it is vesa compatible, so you can find a good quality stand for it for $20-40 dollars if you want one.

Edited to say that the price appears to have gone down to $310, but there is, of course, no g-sync.

Looking to get a new monitor. I have it narrowed down to these 3 options:

I'm just wondering what would be best for me. They are all priced pretty similar right now, so that isn't a problem. I just do gaming a few times a week (usually online with my buddies), and then spend a decent amount of time web browsing, watching video on Netflix or YouTube and I'm looking into starting to do some basic CAD work in SolidWorks.

Also, I believe that the C27JG56 is just an updated CJG5, with freesync.

Here are my questions:

  1. Is paying for an adaptive sync tech worth it? How much will I notice a difference if I'm coming from a basic 60hz 1080p panel? (Also, would using a GTX 970 even be compatible with adaptive sync?)
  2. Should I go for VA? How much better is the image? Is the increase input delay/response time noticeable?
  3. The Samsung panels each have a 32" option. Should I opt in for those if I choose one of them? Is it worth the extra ~$50?

Thanks for anyone that can has time to take a look! I appreciate any feedback

I have a pair of these, really happy with the colors on them, especially for the price

Just to give you an idea of the great monitors you can get if you wait for a deal, I got this one on July 15th when it dropped from $500 to $300. Microcenter dropped the price as well as Amazon, so I just drove to Microcenter and picked one up there for the same price. Great contrast (as you can see here at rtings) and excellent response time/blur for a VA panel.

I definitely recommend you check out the gaming monitors reviews at rtings. They judge really harshly, so anything above a 7.5 is pretty good. For example, you might consider one of these for under $290:
