I use the Sandisk Extreme 64GB model whenever speed is critical, but even that crawls with some file sizes. There are zero high capacity USB3.0 thumb drives that can match or even hold a candle to the write speeds of an SSD. Best bet is to only use them for portable storage, bootdrives for appliances and temporary transfer storage. The only USB drive that would perform well for game storage is an external SSD, at which point you're only getting a deal if you do not have space or onboard connectors for an internal SSD.
