gotcha, thank you for the help. For clarification, if a card simply states that it is a 2gb SD card, like this one, will I be ok?

So here's a few things I noticed:

  1. Try downloading another WAD manager. I'm not sure why your WAD manager isn't showing up in applications via the homebrew channel. I suggest this one.

  2. Your WAD folder shouldn't be in the same folder as your applications, it should be in the root of your SD card. I don't think this is a super big deal because I think you can still navigate to it with most WAD managers.

  3. I would recommend getting a [2gb SD card.] (http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-SD2GB-2GB-SD-Card/dp/B000YH5FOK) Basically there is a distinction between SD cards and SDHC cards. Yours is an SDHC (well, any SD card larger than 2gb is SDHC). Most of the homebrew channels and applications have pretty shoddy compatibility with these cards. (I would probably reserve this suggestion until you've tried everything else though, no sense spending another 10 bucks if you don't have to)

  4. This one might seem obvious, but do you have the PAL version of Super Smash Bros Brawl? Because Project M is incompatible with it. You'll need the NTSC version.

  5. When you turn off Ocarina mode, does Brawl start normally, or are there still really long loading times? If there are long loading times even without project M running it very well might be an issue with either your hard drive or your .ISO of brawl.

Earlier when I said I had the same problem as you I was actually slightly wrong. We have somewhat similar problems though, i.e. when you select a character it freezes and makes that tone (I know that freezing sound well, it still haunts me in my dreams). What IS different though is you seem to be only loading partially into Project M... None of the screens and menu interfaces are the same... In fact the only indication I can see that it's even modified is the character screen which is definitely bizarre.
