Don't bother with a USB transfer cable, get a 16GB usb stick and move your saves and content. Installed games cannot be played on other systems so just delete them.
The USB stick is cheaper and you can re-use it once the transfer is done on the PC or as additional storage on the new XBOX.
The cable approach is not that fast, it took nearly 2H to transfer 15GB of content onto my 60GB.
You can find a 16GB stick at most retailers for under $10, $4 on amazon for a USB 2.0.

$11 Sandisk Cruzer Blade
Face it. That flash drive you have is about to crash. It's old, you'll lose all your data, and you'll be pissed. This is a cheap, excellent replacement/upgrade.
$10 550 Paracord
Think of all the fun things you can do, and survival situations this will help you survive in. Yep. Buy 2 and a half.
$13 or Kelty Triptease is a fun alternative to paracord. Does not have same survival possibilities! Is way more fun.

I think you overthought this scenario. Just get more flash drives. Here's a 16Gb flash drive for $10
20 floppy disks store about 21mb of space and would basically cost as much to ship to you as buying a new flash drive. it's also a stupid piece of media at this point.
All parts have been purchased, the motherboard is one the of last to arrive so I gotta be paitent and wait...soo excited haha.
