I have this 4 foot T5 with a stand, this shelf on top of a side table, this 2 foot T5 hooked to the bottom shelf with paper clips and key rings (lol), daisy-chained to this other 2 foot T5 hooked to the top shelf the same way. They are all run on two of these timers which are on ~10 hrs/day.

I have two of these plant racks from Lowe's in front of my south and east facing windows, I jimmied out the bottom shelf and sort of rested it on my windowsill and the edge of the stand (lol again). It's all very MacGuyvered.

Yeah, for years I've had my computers on the ground, they were glorified dust filters... shit actually ruined my Antec 900 - as in I wrote it off because I did not want to spend the effort cleaning that thing (as it was horribly tedious to disassemble).

My current computer sits over 2.5 ft (0.76 meters) off the ground on one of those cheap-o wire shelves on a solid piece of wood (2" x 25" x 12").

Looks good. I wish I had a welder.

I bought one of those small wire frame shelves.. works great.. $12 on clearance at BJs. Placed a block of wood under the clamps.. done.

This is what I use.

I have 3 on my desk for all my consoles and hard drives.

The big thing is no traction. So I am careful about leveling them or use some stick on velcro.

My current intention is to use one of these: http://www.amazon.com/Sandusky-WS241430-Adjustable-Shelving-Shelves/dp/B009O086MQ/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1395285595&sr=8-2&keywords=metal+wire+shelf

(or one comparable, the one I already have is 6 feet tall.)

and place the gpus hanging and a box fan directly behind them. This will push a ton of air past the cards. Do you think this will be enough? Should I open a window?
