Well, I have one of these. Good build quality, nearly silent, comfy seat. My only regret is that I didn't just put the money towards a mountain bike, because now that I have one the exercise bike just takes up space collecting dust. But, if you're intent on getting an exercise bike that one has my recommendation.

I'm 6'3" and 401 lbs, I have the same issue. I can't jog/run because, for now, by body can't take that much weight slamming around. I can walk/hike, and I do that when possible, but my main form of cardio right now is my stationary bike. I have a Schwinn 240 recumbent stationary bike.

The recumbent style is more comfortable for me and I'm able to ride longer because it's got some back support. It puts no strain on my joints and other than a bit of jiggling my extra weight doesn't hinder my workout.
