I sucked up a rubber ball when I didn't have an attachment on the hose. It got lodged in the handle, but I got it removed by using an L wrench to open the handle and extract it with extremely long tweezers. You have to be careful that you reattach the handle correctly because there are some elements that can get tweaked out of position.
