These are great. They're cortado glasses but also are nicely sized for measuring coffee and catching grinds out of the grinder chute (At least for smart grinder pro).

I think it's worth having 2 styles of glass around for whiskey, a nosing glass and a tumbler sort of affair. I find that cask proof things in a glencairn just lead to getting a nose full of alcohol.

For the nosing glass Stemmed Glencairn > Brandy Balloon > Glencairn

For the Tumbler: Tumbler > Single Rocks Glass > Double Old Fashioned Glass > shot glass

I also found these but I'd personally go for the Duralex 3.13 or 4.63 oz. There's also the Provence style, to compare with the Picardie. Also tempered.

I've had espresso drinks from coffee shops in these kinds of glasses, without the double wall, and I've not had problems. I'm pretty sensitive to touching hot things, moreso than other people I know, so I wouldn't worry. Especially at $15-17 for 6 cups, you will probably find other uses for them and it won't be wasted money.

I do prefer my glencairns, but I was gifted a set or Cortado glasses for Christmas (I believe based on a recommendation from here). These are great for higher proof juice, as they prevent the blast of alcohol on the nose that is common with stronger drinks.
