I see this argument often about how you don't need a college degree to get a job. Here's the scoop only 1-2 markets that are high paying really don't require degrees. The biggest one is tech. In the tech field, you're either fucking smart or you're not. This is pretty much it. The rest of those non-degree jobs suck. Sure, there is the one or two success stories that we all know, but overall, college grads will earn more and have access to more income.

Overall, the job market is also not determined by what you know, but who you know. You want your art history degree to be worth a damn? You better start networking, interning, getting leadership experiences, etc... Once you pass your sociology class and understand social capital and job markets, you should be able to achieve a decent paying job.
