I assume you’re talking about something like this? It will not work by just plugging in a power source. You have to modify the battery contact points to trick it into thinking it’s a wired camera.
Once you do that, the constant HomeKit stream draws significant power from the camera. I don’t know if the solar panel would be able to provide enough power to keep the battery charged.
