The Yoga 11s is nice, but it wasn't going to support multiple displays. If you get the USB to DVI adapter you may be successful with the yoga 11.
"External" graphics via USB.

If you don't want to drop $900 on a thunderbolt, you can get a USB to Vga/DVI adaptor.

So your laptop already have 2 display output. HDMI and Mini-Display port. For 3rd monitor use something like this usb to dvi
Just make sure that you uses monitor connected to HDMI or Mini-Display Port for gaming.
Edit: Fixed vga to dvi.
There are two things here to remember: the laptop probably doesn't support three monitors and the monitor could be faulty. I have a Lenovo Thinkpad that works great with two monitors attached to the docking station, but the third requires an external graphics card that plugs through USB. The third monitor could play into the it as well.
The monitor is probably bad though since you can't get it to turn on with just two or one monitors attached. I would stick with just two for the moment until you can find a monitor that works, then you can use this to connect it to the laptop:

Im not completely sure since I never connected a laptop to a dual monitor setup but that seems most reasonable to me. Here is what im talking about.
