So I bought this door-shoe organizer - Amazon a few months ago and over time, each aluminum clip bent and when you try to bend them back, the metal snaps instantly. I 3D printed some clips I designed last night and the first one snapped when only 2 of the 3 hooks were used. I re-designed them last night and while I am at work, my girlfriend printed all 3 with 100% infill and they are currently serving part of their purpose with one major drawback, the door will not be able to fully close. Currently, the brackets are all 10mm wide and the door is about 38mm thick and the clearance between the door and the entrance is under 3mm. Right now, the height of the bracket that is attached to the door is 3mm but if I make it any thinner, I think it would break at the 90 degree angle. I have no engineering background so I don't know what my options are besides making this thing wider to spread the pressure from the weight over a wider surface area.
