8.27.72 Veneta - officially released as Sunshine Daydream

Now, this show isn't as much better than other '72 shows as its reputation had it for many years, and parts of it are straight up out-of-tune and not super great. But the highlights are just staggering - a massive breakthrough version of Bird Song, potent China Rider, searingly psychedelic Playin' and a deep-but-accessible Dark Star to name a few. The famous "Sunshine Daydream" film and the "band was tripping balls" scenario combine with the music to make this show legendary, and the tuning issues are really just very Grateful Dead, aren't they?
