I have a regular size Pixel2. I always used TechArmor ballistic glass screen protectors but when I got my Pixel they didn't have a screen for it. I went with the one linked below. Came with 2 glass screens and fits well with a case. I did drop my phone and it his right on the corner and then face down. Only the corner of the protector was cracked.

It's got some flaws (had to turn up sensitivity a bit) but other than that it's a solid price. Forget those expensive ones on Google's website.

I have this one right now from Supershieldz and so far well worth the price. Was really easy to put on and it goes to the edges and I have the cloth Google case with no issues. Had $5 dollar gift Amazon gift card so was only like $2 dollars but would have paid more with it. At work on my Pixel 2 now or I'd attach pictures. I will attach some later.

As for the blend of the screen I haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary. I did set my background to all black and at the top it was a slight blur but not sure if burn in or bad placement by me putting protector on. But for $2 dollars or even $7 I think it is well worth it. Plus it comes with 2 protectors and they are good quality.

I do have one installed, I actually just changed it last week. Maybe that is what is causing it, I've never heard of that before and didn't see it on the reviews.

I know this isn't for the xl but I did get this for my 2 and I have found it works perfectly, you can notice dot matrix on the screen when it's off and turned on a hard angle although this goes basically unnoticed during use. I'm pretty sure that would have the xl varient.
