and then use a piece of aluminum channel to pinch the mounting surface to the door with screws. you can find this at depot/ace/etc.

Use it in addition to what people have already said (windows, fan, smoke buddy / spoof, etc). But this is THE KEY. Every other method relies on covering or re-directing the smell before it leaks out of the room (under the door crack). This prevents the leaking from ever happening.
