The driver-side headlamp failed, so I replaced them with Sylvania Silverstar Ultra lamps ( https://www.amazon.com /gp/product/B008BE04C6).
Shortly after, the lamp appeared to fail again, and I saw the socket had failed.
The OEM Socket on the left, and the unit I replaced it with (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00Q3DNZ2I/).
The old socket was cut out and wire nuts were used to connect up the new socket.
Well, after a few days, the replacement socket had the same issue!
Is the problem my bulbs? Do the Silverstar Ultras burn hotter? Draw more current? Or is the problem something else?
All bulb types will be in your manual.

High beam - 9005
I'm pretty confident the low beam is a h11.

The h11 says it fits a 2016 civic and through Google it seems so too. You're correct on the high beams though.
