I have been using it for about a year, and it was very easy to use. I would recommend buying a cheap one on amazon for cheap, like the Syma X11 quadcopter which is a good beginner drone that has the same controls as the DJI Phantom.

I finally made up my own mind on this subject. I was down to either the Syma x11 or the Hubsan x4, and decided on the Syma because it was prices at $21 on Amazon Prime yesterday. From what I've read, either is a good introductory quadcopter, suitable for either indoor or outdoor flight.

i've got the syma x11 (the one without a camera) and it's amazing. I only use it inside. it's only $27

Syma X11

I got this on sale for $20. Best $20 spent in a while and by far the best spent on something r/c. I would say it is worth close to the current price. No camera, but it is radio controlled as opposed to IR so it works indoor and outdoor. Has a great gyro (I can throw it in the air and kick up the power and it will level off just fine). It has two different settings, one of which is for more aggressive movements. And it has the ability to do barrel rolls and flips.

Pretty fun little quadcopter for anyone looking for something cheap to mess around with.

Forget the $20 savings. It could also be a total waste of if it doesn't work. I've looked more into this FY326... and it looks like in early 2015 it had very solid and long range electronics. But that has been switched to a cheaper and unreliable radio system in newer versions. Does not seem worth the risk.

Plus it looks like it's only $10-$15 more for the X5c (at least on amazon). Syma x5C $41:
