when I moved into my place, it had been vacant and roaches moved in, I believe from outside because I only ever saw large ones when I first moved in. I put diatomacious earth everywhere, but they were still around. then, I bought the above product, and put a half dozen of the little pucks around. boom, 100% gone. then, I had some roaches in the garage out back, so I put a couple pucks out there... there was a ring of dead roaches in around it after a couple days and they're STILL gone 1.5 years later... it eliminated the whole population. after they worked on the garage, I put a couple out front of my house because my block had those "Street roaches", if you know what I'm talking about.... again, not only did it kill them all, but 2 summers later the population is still gone (ok, I saw a couple street roaches this year, but mostly gone).
I also checked and the poison in the pucks is pet safe. the above is a 60 count bag, but I only used about 10 of them. you could easily put a bunch around your house and save a few in a ziplock for yourself, then give the rest to your neighbor.
there are some mixed reviews on these on amazon, so it makes me wonder if some batches are stronger than others, but GODDAMN did I get a good batch. if they work half as well for you and your neighbor, it should do trick for you
