I just bought a pair of these. They're pretty cheap and I've heard good things. I'll report back after a couple days of use.

I've used both waterproof (IPX7) Dacom bluetooth earbuds and waterproof (IPX8) Tayogo mp3 player.

Bluetooth:

I've streamed podcasts, radio and music from my (poolside) mobile phone.
It works really well, until the antenna portion of the earbud is immersed in water, at which point the audio cuts out until that earbud rises back out of the water.

The earbud fit in my ear wasn't too bad, once I fitted the correct size rubber bud adapter, but would come out if I was going really really fast.

Additionally, the poolside bag containing my mobile device had to be in the middle of the length of the pool, to have sufficient range, but audio would start crapping-out at each end of the pool.

Given that the DACOM bluetooth earbuds have a black cable linking the two earbuds together, around the back of the head/neck - incorporating the antenna into this cable might have provided better reception "in-water".
But my tests showed that there was a single antenna in one bud only, so once that ear was underwater - the audio cut-out.

The DACOM eventually stopped powering-on after only 4-5 months of use, and I received no response from the online retailer requesting replacement - so I gave up as my time wasn't worth it.

Mp3 player:

This is a nice unit, in the shape of a headband that goes around the back of your head. The player "pops out" of the head band, and has it's own usb connector that goes straight into a USB port on your computer.
The player works fairly well, but the earbuds just fall out as soon as I start swimming, regardless of which rubber earbud adapter I use.

If swimming gently, the best audio quality seemed to occur once some water had found it's way into my ears, providing a warmer, fuller sound, obviously due to the water helping to conduct the sound waves to my ear drum. Out of the water, the sound was thinner/tinnier.

But the battery life is reasonable, and being 8GB, I can stash so many tunes and podcasts on there, that having a "live connection" isn't much of a problem for me.

If only the earbud fit were tighter for in-water use.
