I bought two different types of replacement thumb sticks for my controllers.
The original sticks have a little notch that is cut into the side of the left stick that ensures it doesn't interfere with with a surface mounted component on the controller PCB. The ones from AliExpress have the notch and they were cheap so I ordered a set to check them out. The feel of the rubber on the sticks is OK, but not quite as nice as the notch-less ones from Amazon. The difference here is the color and thickness of the plastic. The notched ones are thinner and lower quality plastic than the notch-less ones. The notch-less stick does not seem to interfere with the PCB.
If you are interested in replacing your sticks, I definitely recommend the notch-less variety from Amazon.
