Is it worth buying a really expensive gaming mouse? I only plan on using it for gaming and there's some cheap ones on amazon that don't look much different than the $50 ones. Thinking about getting this one. TeckNet Raptor Gaming Mouse, 2000 DPI, 6 Button, Extra Weight https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00E290JRE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_zymjyb08ASM9S

Take a look at THIS. It only comes in a Blue Gaote / Outemu switch, but for the money this thing has been awesome for me. Built like a tank and one of the heaviest boards I own. There is a lot of aluminum in this board. And oddly I find I like the feel and sound of these switches far more than the Cherry Blue. Edit: As for mice take a look at THIS one. A friend of mine has been using it for several months with zero issues. It has very good response. My only complaint is it's a bit light weight for me, but I do prefer a heavier mouse.

I bought this mouse as a stand-in, been using it for a few months now and I love it.

It doesn't look too great, honestly. Cheap wireless stuff kills batteries and also sucks regarding input lag. I'd spend a few bucks more and go for this http://www.amazon.com/TeckNet%C2%AE-Precision-Gaming-Button-weight/dp/B00E290JRE

sorry for formatting not sure how to link it into text

btw, I can vouch for the e-3lue mouse. It's good, but could use more DPI XD

u/Doge_Jedi · 2 pointsr/Overwatch

Well I don't know the DPI of that mouse but you want relatively low DPI. Don't worry though it doesn't have to cost you! I use a Tecknet M268 6D which is $10 on Amazon. It's not the best (has no removable weights and only 3 DPI settings) but it's a cheap gaming mouse and has lasted me 2 years with no fuss. It should be noted that though Amazon says it has settings for 600/1200/2000 DPI the official website for the mouse says 2000/1600/1000 DPI so that's what I go by.

For DPI I play with 1000, I know many people use mice that go as low as 400-800 though. DPI is mostly preference though some use higher but I don't think you would want to go above 3k DPI.

£10, and an awesome a quality mouse. Has the bindable buttons, feels really responsive. If you don't believe me, look at the reviews!

I got the mouse myself and I've had it about a year and I'm still using it and enjoying it.

Looks pretty awesome too haha

Reviews on Amazon say that this mouse comes with a mini disk containing drivers. Have you tried installing those? I however could not find any drivers for this on the manufacturer's website. There are a few available on other sites, but I do not know how safe the websites are, hence not posting the links.

I brought a reletively cheap gaming mouse (http://amzn.to/1vGtFPA) with DPI setting, I play at 600dpi and 2 sense ingame, I got a wide mousepad to counteract how much I am swiping my mouse to turn 360 and I set my game to the worst settings because that's all my laptop can handle.

If you're happy with your setup then watch streams.

u/areolaisland · 1 pointr/buildapc

No you don't "need" a gaming mouse and keyboard for quality gaming. That said, I'm spoiled by a cherry mx blues and would never get a permanent keyboard that wasn't some kind of cherry blue or a quality-ish knockoff.

This guy goes on sale for $35 fairly often, and is the absolute minimum I would get if I were looking to buy a keyboard. It's not cherry mx branded, but OUTEMO switches are supposed to be pretty high quality.

As for a mouse, the gaming mice are definitely excellent, but if you're not looking to break the bank, you can pickup any of the following budget mice and be totally ok.

  • Tecknet Raptor - Under 10 bucks shipped to the US. This is my portable mouse that I carry with me when traveling and I haven't noticed any problems playing games like League and Borderlands.

  • Redragon Centrophorus - I haven't used this one myself, but it is $14 and has crazy good reviews. Might be worth it for the customizable weights. I doubt you'll regret it if you picked this up and if you do...well $14 bucks isn't the most you could spend for a mouse you don't like.

  • 1stplayer GM3 - I'm not too serious about fps's which is where you need the most precision in a mouse, but I'm told this mouse has the best sensor of the 3.

I would recommend picking up the Raptor but that's heavily biased since it's the only one I've used. I doesn't hurt that it's also the cheapest between the 3. You can use it for a few months while saving money and replace it with a better mouse if you feel like it. My primary mouse is the Steelseries Sensei and I like it a lot.

And before you ask, yes the Sensei is much smoother and feels more accurate. I would say the accuracy is probably partly because it's a better mouse, and partly because it's the mouse I use more frequently (not being calibrated to a certain mouse will affect your accuracy with it as well).

It all depends on your budget. You can get by with a $10 keyboard, but I would highly recommend going the mechanical route if you enjoy typing.

Games: Overwatch

Right Handed

Budget: Below

Hand size: 18 cm

Grip type: Doesn't matter

Weight: I'm really new to this, so I don't know :)

I've been browsing some really cheap gaming mice for myself, and haven't been able to decide on which one I should get. I play overwatch mostly, so can someone help me decide/suggest a mouse?

Redragon M601

HAVIT HV-MS672 Ergonomic Wired Mouse

TeckNet Raptor Gaming Mouse

E-3lue Cobra EMS109BK High Precision Gaming Mouse

I really can't decide on one. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

u/Gaara_of_the_Baharma · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

Are these any good? Im ordering one right now for 35£(about 50$) because my current mouse is terrible for playing FPS' with. Could someone confirm this?

u/KingoftheCastle94 · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

Cant get much better than this for the price. Bought it in 2013 still using it daily.. 0 faults

>Non-programmable

That's gonna be a no from me.

Edit: Found a wired one on Amazon with programmable buttons. It's the same model. Just cheaper and wired.

u/ryouu · 1 pointr/gaming

In my opinion, and I think this is something quite important to note, is that if you're not playing at a high level of play you don't need gaming mice, especially branded ones.

Generally speaking they're overpriced and there are good alternatives for a lower price. As mentioned many times, Logitech have really good products (G400, MX158) but even any cheap mouse you can find on Amazon surprisingly work fine. I'm using a Teknet Gaming Mouse which as you can see costs nothing, but once I got used to it it feels like any other mouse to me.

I think the main issue is you're using a wireless laptop mouse. Anything is a step up from that.

u/Sinkovsky · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

Excellent mouse(I tried many this is my favorite) for a headset you can choose this aswell as picking up this and for a keybaord this is a nice one

u/MackerLad93 · 1 pointr/buildapc

If you think that's bad, my mouse died while I was flat broke so I replaced it with this. Been using it for about 6 months now and can finally afford to replace it.

I'm a casual gamer, but I play Links 2003 golf (which started out as MS Golf many moons ago) & it's PowerStroke feature requires precision. I've gone from Razer to Logitech to GigaByte to many rebadged brands in-between & frankly a £10 Chinese mouse from Amazon has proved to be great, I buy 2 or 3 at a time, as I play SO much golf the left-click always wears down, even on expensive mice

https://www.amazon.co.uk/TeckNet-RAPTOR-Gaming-Button-Non-programmable/dp/B00E290JRE

wired, 5 buttons, 3 speeds, no software required (although I remap buttons 4 & 5 with external software to suit various needs). Right-hand use only though

This is pretty good at a very reasonable price point. I'm sure there'll be one on Amazon US or newegg.

u/Eidolon94 · 0 pointsr/Eve

Nope, it's this one.

I used to own this one It was quite good.

u/Anizeb · 0 pointsr/gaming

Those Chinese knock-off gaming mice from Amazon are actually quite good, I'm surprised to say.

Sturdy build and responsive, and really comfortable, at least for people like me with monstrous mitts. Only real issue is the switch life. My last one only lasted about a year and a half before I started having issues. Thing is, though, when you're dropping so little on them, it's well worth it.
