On the psychology side of things, try reading up on the Power Threat Vulnerability Framework. It argues powerfully against reductionism, although unfortunately that means you really need to read it in detail to fully get it.

Look into Wacquant's Punishing the Poor.

But to be honest it entirely depends on what you are interested int. It can be sociology of knowledge, I would recommend Peter Burke's A Social History of Knowledge or if it has to do with medical sociology in Foucault's Birth of the Clinic
