According to this website about Led Zepplin this book is where they got the symbol from.

This is all the book says about the symbol:

>Three triangles all touching at a central point to form a new figure. This is an old symbol for the Godhead. Beyond this nothing is known about it.

FYI, you can apparently buy this book on Amazon

This is the book Koch, the Book of Signs and if you google images, Koch Book of Signs you should find lots of examples. A lot won't apply however it might give you some ideas which can be developed. Good luck

By the way, the first English translation of the book was published in the 1930's.

Rudolf Koch did a wonderful book on the meaning of various signs / symbols --- The Book of Signs --- it's available in an inexpensive Dover reprint from Amazon (and likely other places): https://www.amazon.com/Book-Signs-Dover-Pictorial-Archive/dp/0486201627
