The Echo goes really well with the kitchen color-wise. But wouldn't it be really difficult to see if there are blue or orange lights? You could be yelling at Alexa but not know if she really heard you.
You also have a two outlets avaialble. You could use an Echo Dot with a mount (Amz) to save some space. It's also cheaper than an Echo Plus so replacing it when it spoils or get dirty is easier.
