Here’s a book that helped me a lot: The Empath's Survival Guide: Life Strategies for Sensitive People https://www.amazon.com/dp/1683642112/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_.jlhDbMRJTGDE

I completely understand what you're talking about! Being an empath can be overwhelming but I've found meditation helps a lot. There are also some great books on learning how to thrive with your gifts as an empath.

This book is a great start. I also really enjoyed this one as well.

Hope that helps!

Ahh!!! You are not alone :)

I am just coming to understand what this all means and how much sense it makes as I look back over my life. I had a group of friends over yesterday and one out of all of them has a very strong personality that always throws me off kilter. I could feel my stress building while she was there (my stress is in my jaw which inevitably gives e TMJ) and then when she left, it leveled out and I felt better and then relaxed.

I have begun to do research on this and there's a protection you can do by imagining yourself in a safe blue bubble or whatever color makes you feel safe. And that person's energy bounces off of your bubble and never penetrates and you are unable to feel that person.

I have not mastered this, but I am working on it.

I highly recommend this book: The Empath's Survival Guide by Judith Orloff

I have only begun to discover how to protect myself and how to use this unique gift to help others without hurting myself :)

Please feel free to share what you learn. HUGS :)
