As for the book, I actually found it at my local library. It's also on amazon.
It only has a smallish chapter on demi, but it had a lot of lines that really resonated with me.

Yeah, that's David Jay. The documentary I mentioned is about him. Also, he is the founder of AVEN. While the documentary isn't something I like pointing to, it's on netflix and is called (A)sexual. I have a lot of reasons not to recommend it, but if you like him, it's got a lot of him in it. As well as quite a bit of info on asexuality. Personally, I prefer the video Asexuality: An Overview by YouTuber swankivy. Her channel is a great resource on asexuality information. She was also in the documentary. She has a book coming later this year that I helped with and am really excited about called The Invisible Orientation: An Introduction to Asexuality available on amazon for preorder.
There aren't a lot of resources out there about being ace and it's pretty regularly misunderstood. For anybody really interested in learning more but not interested in too much technical jargon, I recommend this not-quite-yet-released book: The Invisible Orientation. I have enjoyed other writing from this author and think she writes stuff that is interesting and also pretty easy to read.
