Used to do card magic long ago. Having the muscle memory for classic forces is nice, but if you want to incorporate this kind of thing, there are a lot of super simple to do forces that require little to no practice to do effectively.

Edit: If you want to get into doing this, a great place to start is The Royal Road to Card Magic. Its a phenomenal book for beginners and intermediate skill. It was written back in the 40's and covers a lot of the basic foundations of card manipulation.

The Royal Road to Card Magic by Hugard & Braue

If you practice all the things this book has to offer then you will have an amazing foundation in card magic.

Modern Coin Magic by J.B. Bobo

This is a must have if you want to begin learning coin magic.

At some point I would also suggest The Books of Wonder by Tommy Wonder, pricey, but his philosophy on magical thinking is worth it alone. I am a tad biased however because he is my favorite magician after all. :)

I'm weary of suggesting YouTubers but one I will recommend is Jay Sankey

I hope this helps and welcome back!

Check out Royal Road to Card Magic. I started studying card magic January of this year and just this week someone recommended this to me and I was like “THIS is what I have needed!” It starts you off with beginner’s moves and tricks and gradually builds up as you go, providing a good level of focus to your journey. Before this I was just all over the place watching YouTube tutorials with no real sense of direction.

Learn an Ambitious Card routine for the older kids.

Were you using a French Drop to make the coin disappear? If not, try that. Otherwise, Modern Coin Magic is the classic text.

EDIT: I happen to know how to do an ACR and a lot of other card tricks. Learned it from this book.
