Hi Im here for your yoga wants and needs

Yoga Friends looking to start meditation suggestions

Meditation Cushion (I think I have the 13" one) - I specifically have this Reehut ($23) one and a Manduka one (I cant find it online! but it was about $50) and the manduka definitely has a better suede feel, the Reehut one feels just as nice to sit on).

Headspace account - you can get a year premium account on eBay just saying for a fraction of the price... (I'm talking like $5 versus $100).

Journal - I got the meditation cushion and added a journal for my friend (I ended up getting a 3pack from Costco for $11 and gifting to 3 people! 馃榿

Odds and Ends:

If you want to spend money on your yoga friend, a Liforme yoga mat that's $150-200 might be right up your alley.

I also want the NOW Tone Therapy speakers but cant talk myself into spending $150 for 3 minutes of sweet bells.

If you want to go super hippie, you can buy Sage to burn ($18 issa vibe)

.I think this is a super cute card set Wild Unknown Animal Spirit Deck (less than $25). The same artist also has a similar Tarot deck that's under $25

This is also a great visual/journaling book for yogis - a lot of pages, colorful, and places to write (so dont bother with the Kindle version!)(Wanderlust might have another book for cookers, if I'm not mistaken).Less than $20 right now.

Jessamyn Stanley also has Every Body Yoga for someone who practices yoga and is interested in hearing Jessamyn's journey to yoga. She's very inclusive and I really enjoyed reading her story. The yoga is very basic though.

i'll send you the deck of your choice and i won't need to know your address or anything. my treat to encourage the hobby :)

if you need some inspiration, here are some of my favorites:

the wild unknown

ethereal visions

the fountain

tbh though, i own about ... 30 or so tarot decks at this point and i'd guess about 25 of them i've purchased for myself, haha. i pick and choose what tarot "rules" to follow since i believe the cards will tell me what they will tell me no matter what :)

Amazon has it (with the guidebook) for around $24 which is a great price!

Oh man, I have opinions lol So I've been collecting decks for about a decade now and have 13 total. I'll just unload... I hope this is helpful!

My all time favorite, the Mythic Tarot (all greek mythology), is super inaccessible though, unfortunately, but it was the one that I grew up with by some fluke of a chance and when I finally got it for myself (and for under $100 which is very rare) I about lost my mind. There's a new version of it with the same overall stories and art but the art style has greatly changed and it just can't hold a candle to the original.

My second favorite is the Wild Unknown. It's beautiful and boy oh boy is she rude. Sometimes you might notice after fiddling with a variety of decks that they'll have a bit of personality and this one pulls no punches in my experience and even for a few of my freinds who have the deck. Plus it's just a really stunning deck.

Another beautiful deck is the Linestrider. Watercolors. Like the gentle version of Wild Unknown. My Rider-Waite is the Pamela Colman Smith commemorative version and has really lovely back and vivid colors. Rider-Waite is easily the most recognizable of the decks and is very accessible. Also honorable mentions, since they're just beautiful decks: Wildwood, Mucha, Ostara (gilded edges!), and the Halloween Tarot.

  1. Mythic
  2. The Wild Unknown *
  3. Halloween
  4. Rider-Waite *
  5. Ostara *
  6. Wildwood
  7. Mucha
  8. Linestrider *
  9. Welcome to Night Vale
  10. Raven's Prophecy (Raven Cycle)
  11. Zombies
  12. Marseille
  13. New Mythic

    * - I think these would be particularly good for a first deck

EDIT: If there's any these particular decks you'd like to see pictures of, let me know! I'll see what I can do. :)

I recommend The Wild Unknown as well. It lends itself very well to intuitive reading while still being based on traditional tarot meaning and symbolism. And the [boxed set] (https://www.amazon.com/Wild-Tarot-Guidebook-Official-Keepsake/dp/0062466593) is quite a beautiful presentation, especially as a gift.

I found it cheaper on Amazom.

I can also tell you that I have The Fountain. It鈥檚 beautiful (tho might be challenging as a beginner, the symbols aren鈥檛 the clearest).

My newest deck - which is both faithful in its symbols and evocative is Pagan Otherworlds

Another popular deck here that I鈥檓 getting to know is The Wild Unknown. I appreciate that it presents traditional archetypes in a new way.

It鈥檚 very personal, isn鈥檛 it?

The Wild Unknown deck is my favorite. it's pretty intuitive and has beautiful illustrations. they have a really good android app too :)

This is what I used!
(The Wild Unknown Tarot -book and deck by Kim Krans)
I used this deck, and also used the app "Golden Thread Tarot" for reversal definitions (google play store for the app, unsure of whether it's available for iOS or not)
-The app also lets you log your tarot readings, and your feelings associated with the overall reading. Best Tarot app I've found yet.
Good luck on your journey, and Namaste, friend!!
