Have you tried one of these? I've had elbow tendinitis twice on both elbows -- pretty bad -- and the exercises with "reverse tension" fixed it both times.. Takes several weeks and several exercises per day, but they work.

The New York Times even did an article about it.

Have you had the chance to read up on the Theraband Flexbar? Years of climbing followed up with years of powerlifting coupled with inadequate extensor training left me with debilitating tendinitis in both forearms. I was referred to a PT and over an eight month period, I worked through a variety of exercises using the Flexbars, working up through the various resistances. As a result, I have been pain free for about two years now. I love them and would highly recommend giving them a go - I continue to use them as both a means of warm up and general rehab. They're crazy durable; all four of mine are in excellent condition after daily use over the past 24 months.

One more comment:

I've had occasional problems along this line, and I find stretching and exercises help. You should probably be careful to not be too stressful while you're having pain, but you can search around for wrist stretches. As you start to feel better, you might want to try some arm exercises with elastic bands, or something like this (no affiliation).

If you're interested in relieving it, check out the Theraband / Tyler Twist bar. I got a mild case of tennis elbow when I first started boxing 3 months ago and after 2 weeks ordered one of these (green).

It went away after a week and a half of doing 10-12 reps every day. Now I do it every so often as a preventative. Google the youtube instructions!

my personal opinion is tennis elbow is likely caused by a mechanical issue in your stroke (ie violent swinging causing mishits). It is easily amplified with heavier racquets such as APD and PDT or high string tensions. I know pros are exceptions but you have to wonder how they can sustain playing day in/out with heavy racquets with high string tensions (eg Wawrinka goes 60lbs with stiff polys). Obviously once you get tennis elbow you should follow injury protocols and rehab. Check out the tennis elbow therapy bar. I use the green one when I watch TV or just walking around the apt.

Start with green color then move to blue. NYT has article on how to use it.

Secondly, roll out your arms. They could have trigger points that might need releasing.

I've had computer elbow for a while now from scrolling reddit at work. I just got a Theraband Flexbar from Amazon, that I've read all over the place is supposed to be very helpful for chronic elbow injuries. After each of the three sessions I've done with it, I notice it does have an acute effect, but hopefully long term strengthening of my forearms will cure the root problem.

Other than that, smashing, voodoo floss, arm stretches, sleeves, ibuprofen, and all that stuff helps. Also, do chin ups instead of pull ups.

No, you need to rehab your tendons with a Flexbar or something like that. Also, whatever activity is causing your tennis elbow needs to modified to get rid of the pain.

Now, it does help keep your elbows tucked in and may relieve extra pressure poor bench form could put on your elbows. But if bench is causing your elbow aids, fix your bench form first.
