the T-classic leans a little more dressy, but still versatile IMO, though it is 44mm

in fact, there are quite a few Tissot watches to choose from. pretty much the entire quartz lineup are sub $300 and most (if not all) come with Sapphire.

Actually, I have this black Tissot PR100 watch and I was looking for something a bit more extravagant, just to wear on more celebratory occasions.

I've looked at a lot of chrono watches with gold dial, and leather strap. Then I found the Tufina one, and I thought it looked pretty good, but like you said, something feels sketchy about the brand and in the end, it does indeed feel gaudy.

But when I was picking up my Tissot yesterday from my watch retailer after repair, I saw this Tissot:

The Tissots ones are a bit more expensive that the dW, and I don't like the Tissot strap, but I think I'll go for a watch more in line with these two. The only thing I'd like is that it shows the date, like in the first one. But as soon as you have a calendar, the Tissots are usually 300 EUR +. My price range is somewhere around 200.

I'm looking at buying my first watch, I've always liked watches and they are the only fashion accessory I've ever taken an interest in. Unfortunately, I have a low budget of $150 that cannot be exceeded. That said I do own a quality watch given to me as a gift, a Raymond Weil 5532. I would finally like to purchase my own watch though because no matter how nice the one that was given to me, I find that buying things yourself gives a bit of a sense of satisfaction. Because I already have the Weil with a leather band, I'm leaning towards a metal banded watch but am still open to the other Tissot, out of those, my favorites are the Seiko classic black dial and metal banded Tissot. I'd like to stay with quality brands like these but am open to other budget minded options and also watches that are proportional to my 6 inch wrists. Thanks for the help.
