I still use TJ brand tea tree oil shampoo and conditioner , shampoo every 5-6 days and a condition everyday. Twice a week I will use the Aussie “moist” conditioner just to keep my hair on its toes. I only brush with a wide tooth comb after i get out of the shower. I scrunch some water out and finish with a little Cantu leave in conditioner and scrunch as dry as possible.

Also, all of yalls hair is still really pretty!

Personally, I shampoo every Wednesday and Saturday (unless my hair is feeling incredibly grimy). I condition pretty much everyday. Sometimes, if I hadn't worked out or had a relaxing day, I'll just use water.

I use argan oil on days where I plan on styling/applying heat to my hair.

For shampoo/conditioner (and body-wash), I use Trader Joe's Tea Tree Tingle. No sulfates & it has some essential oils too!

I've been doing this method for about a year now and I can't rave about it enough. My hair feels & looks amazing now!

Edit: That Amazon price is ridiculous. If you have an actual TJ's near you, $3.99 per bottle.

Black girl here! I have thick, curly hair that is at my armpit when stretched. I wash my hair with shampoo about once a month, and when I do, I use the Trader Joe's Tea Tree Tingle shampoo. It's sulfate-free, so not an absolute disaster for black hair. It's also cheaper in-store.

I have started using Trader Joe's Shampoo and Conditioners. I shampoo every other day, and condition everyday. I have been using Burt's Bees Hand Salve in my beard in the mornings for a leave in conditioner.

I just last night used a hot oil treatment of Honey, and Jojoba, and Sesame Oil last night. It was a mess to put on, but I can tell it is softer. This stuff is miraculous My grandma used to get it for me and it was the only shampoo and conditioner that worked. I have very dry and frizzy hair. I also use an argan oil heat protectant before I blow dry or straighten it. It helps it stay shiny and soft.
