Your speakers plug into the wall outlet right? So that means they are powered. You still need to turn on the Pre-amp because it is TT<Preamp<amp<speakers
I'm curious, why use the Marantz for music only? That said, I've been using these since a couple years back and they are decent for the price.
As you're in a pretty good position to advise on good setups for student, could you recommend a setup which could be suitable for the following?
A) Play music, with a decent range
B) Be good for films and gaming, probably at a desktop
C) Be powerful enough to power a small flat party
Price range would be up to around ~£70
I've had a few setups in mind, but I'm no expert, so any of your own suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
