My rig is just a Shakespeare Ugly Stik spinning reel combo mess that I got at Gander's going out of business sale. It's very similar to this one but it came with a different tackle set. It's a 5' light action that's rated from 4-10 lbs. The reel is a basic shakespeare spinning reel.

I'm using the 6lb line that came with and I bought another spool of 6lb from Trilene (XL Smooth Casting, 110yds)

All I know how to do is tie knots and casting into wind is horrendous.

The only thing I was using for weight with the powerbait was a jig head. I don't own pliers so I wasn't able to crimp any of the weights on and it didn't matter anwyay, it was too damn windy.

I'm basically fishing on no budget so losing gear pisses me off way more than it should.
