While I can't currently afford new headphones my next ones might be
V-MODA Crossfade Headphones. I do enjoy the quality of mine but it would be nice to cancel noise.

Holey poop. Their $1,367.02 Canadian. But you did say they lasted 9 years and counting. I always say if something I buy lasts 1 year per $100 it's a good deal.

The headphones are alright sound wise. I don't like the way they look. For headphones that are cheaper, look better IMO, anD can handle enough bass to give your newborn shaken baby syndrome... Crossfade LP

Well, what is the budget? And would you like wireless or wired? Wired usually yields much better quality, and PC is usually much better than console audio in the first place.

Edit: This is what I have now: V-Moda and their boom mic. Really, anything "gaming" branded is going to be fairly inferior to a quality set of headphones.

I use the V-Moda LP as backups for my HD 25's. You could probably grab the V-Moda's for around $100 online.

definitely been looking at some of the sennheiser headphones, particularly these ones, other than that, was looking at some v-moda's (which I just recently heard of, so I'm not so sure about the quality of their brand)

• Budget: $200 max, though i'd prefer just over $100
  
• Source: Computer audio port/USB port
  
• Isolation: Noise cancelling or good isolation for an office while I program
  
• Pref. Type: Around ear. Really anything that isn't an earbud is fine though. I don't want to replace batteries though, so usb or dc recharging options are a must
  
• Comfort: A lot. I'll be using these without music or with just soft music to drown out noise, so the audio quality isn't terribly important, though I'd certainly like something that sounded at least as good as the cheap 15$ headphones I normally buy
  
• Listening to: Post rock, movie soundtracks, and whatever classical and pop rock pandora decides I need to hear at the moment.

I have a pair of the LPs, paired with the XL ear cushions and the boom pro mic. It's a pretty decent setup for gaming (main reason for purchase), lots of bass, great sound. Ears get a bet warm after some time due to closed back, but still comfortable for flights and at work.

Overall it is like /u/kronbison mentioned, it's a completely different class of headphones. That being said, I also have a pair of AKG K511 headphones as spares and still chose to order the Sennheisers today as I'm looking for some new open back options.

They are wired and have been working fine with the other controllers, its just this new one that is causing me problems.
