These ones are black, which is nicer looking than those red and white ones which will make your helmet look ugly in the day.
And of course your lane positioning is key. And I might get flack for this, but a louder exhaust does make drivers more aware of your presence in my experience. People say that all of the sound goes behind you, but this is simply not true. I've had countless cars second guess a lane change because they heard me coming. I'm really happy my bike came with a Yoshi pipe.
