I think the best way to start here is to list the tools you think are the most important to have. Or alternatively, what jobs do you want the knife to help you accomplish? There are just so many different options out there we kinda need a starting point.

The Super Tinker looks very similar. It looks like all the same tools as the salesman, plus the hook.
knife + openers + scissors is my holy grail too, I've been looking into this lately.
If the large screwdriver isn't important to you, then you might also look into the Compact, the Climber, and the new Pioneer X.

Go with a Victorinox for multitools, specifically the Super Tinker model on amazon.
Or go for an Opinel no. 8 which is constructed with either carbon steel (X90 - 1095 equivalent, used in USMC Ka-bar) or stainless (12C28 Sandvik, good Swedish made/designed steel). Opinels come in a variety of awesome handles, I own a carbon beechwood, stainless olivewood, and stainless bubinga wood.
