Ok if this is un-encrypted cable tv, then all you need is a QAM tuner.

This box, will tune in the un-encrypted QAM channels from cable tv providers. Then you can send the hdmi into the TV and the audio out from this box into the RF transmitter.

SInce it hasn't been mentioned, at least 15 of 17 OCSC road games will be broadcast over the air in the Orlando area this season.

So getting an antenna is definitely the cheapest way to see all of the games.

Edit: And get a cheap OTA DVR if you want to record games.

>Any of these are fine?

I can personally vouch for the AT263 & 300's. They work as expected. Take antenna in outputs component at 1080p to my Vizio. (It has a tuner, I needed the other functions of the box)

If all you want is a tuner to fix a dead internal tuner. Any of these work great.

They all pretty much are made to the same specs, with the same embedded linux, and similar firmware. These basically all are tweaked to add buttons on the front, add remove outputs on the rear, differing cases. Internal v. external PSU. A few clones like the Stellar Labs one are reported to have REMOVED the DVR functions, not confirmed. That one anecdotal post was from a manual review, that had those pages removed, not actual hardware use.

If you want to use the PVR functions of these understand these are NOT like a PVR you might have used from a DBS or CATV co!!! Do NOT EXPECT THAT!

They are more like a digital VCR. They do work, and I am quite happy with them for what they do and how they work. Expecting series recording, fancy grid EPG, 14 day EPG, etc.. WRONG DEVICES.

The EPG is what ever the station sends in the PSIP tables for them. Some in my area sends hours and hours worth. Some only send a few hours worth. Some has show info like a description. Most don't. NO GRID!

You want the facny grid you will probably have to get the CM DVR+ to do that. You can get their base model, and just ignore the DVR part. It will have a "GRID" EPG.

They are all the same box in some form or another.

Ask and I can give more info.

If you have no coax connection on your TV, take a look at these converter boxes, they have an HDMI port so you can watch OTA TV again.

Everyone here keeps talking about audio out of your TV, but if it doesn't have t no big deal.

Here's an outboarded tuner. It's only ~$35 and will give you any input/outputs you would need. From standard antenna passthrough to HDMI to analog video and then both analog and digital audio. You would no longer change the channel on your TV but rather on the tuner now

I use this: ViewTV AT-263 ATSC Digital TV Converter Box and HDMI Cable https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01F5QK562/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_g61IAb5P765TE.

It's cheap and pretty simple, I got it so that I could pause and rewind live football. Plug in an antenna and pop in a USB memory stick and once you start watching, hit record and then you can pause and rewind as you please. It's not real sophisticated, if you want to record a specific show, you have to pre-program it to record that show's time slot, it doesn't have a guide. It doesn't connect to the web. Its pretty much like a VCR that instead of recording on and playing tapes, it records on and plays from a USB memory device.
