I use the ipega 9025, it's around 15 bucks with a built in plastic thing to hold your phone. The thumb sticks are okay at best, I use it for more casual games and emulators. It's not that good imo but I still use it from time to time.
Edit: I mostly use my Xbox one controller and based on a comment on r/xboxone it does look like you have one too so you should just by a clip for your phone. The Xbox one controller will be far better than a cheap ipega you find on the internet. Very little lag, amazing thumb sticks, and sturdy controller.

I find it to be... not so great. The weight of my phone seems at odds with the size of the clip, not to mention I cant clip onto the center of my phone because that's where the volume buttons are.
Is there something bigger/sturdier out there? Is there a different style of clip/mount that I am unaware of?

There’s other options, even a 3-pack... This was just default Amazon’s Choice
It’s stable enough to hold my Pixel 3 XL... but the volume buttons are in the way and always turn off because of the clamp. That’s just the case of the phone’s design though, and couldn’t imagine it being any better with the official Claw. I can say though that it makes holding the controller heavy on the top side, so I hope the official Claw’s design really makes it ergonomic.
